Rita Adams is a Chartered Physiotherapist and registered with the Health Professions Council (HPC). Offering 25 years of clinical experience and expertise. She has gained a Master of Science degree in Manual Therapy from Manchester Metropolitan University and also gained membership of the highly coveted internationally recognized Manual association of Chartered Physiotherapists (MACP).
She is also an associate lecturer for Teesside university teaching on the postgraduate advanced clinical practice (manipulative therapy) course.
She originally qualified in 1990 from Pinderfield’s college of physiotherapy and worked initially in Hull where she completed her junior level rotations covering all aspects of physiotherapy including orthopaedics, Intensive care, neurology, neurosurgery, elderly care, plastics and Burns, paediatrics, outpatients, hydrotherapy, care of the elderly, medical and surgical.
She also worked privately for BUPA for a while and then decided to up sticks and go to Australia where she worked in private clinics and also had a short stint working for Manly Rugby Union.
She has a wealth of experience working in the musculoskeletal field mainly working with clients who have spinal pain and her aim is to diagnose and treat any musculoskeletal problem (if appropriate) with the most effective evidence based treatment in the shortest time possible. If treatment is not appropriate for physiotherapy then she will advise accordingly.
She is dedicated to ongoing learning and is planning to complete the prescribing course and injection therapy course in the coming year.
